16th Annual Charity Chili Cook-Off!! Sunday 11/16! It's Chili time again at the King Street Bar and Oven! This year the event will be held in conjunction with our Hawks/Rams viewing party on Sunday, Nov. 16th at High Noon here at King Street Bar and Oven (located across the street from Lumen Field) 170 S. FREE for all chili lovers!!! KIDS WELCOME! Raffles for prizes and a 50/50 raffle too! T-Shirts and Crew neck sweatshirts available day of event! This year's chili cook-off will tie in with the Hawks taking on the Rams at 1:05pm. Come down for the chili, stay for the Hawks game! We will be starting the chili cook-off at 12pm and will have 15 different chilis entered. All net proceeds from this event will benefit the American Cancer Society and local Food Banks. We will be collecting non-perishable food items so please remember to bring some canned or boxed food items to donate if you are able. We will then distribute to local area food banks. As always, admission for all chili lovers is free! We do however ask for a donation with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. No amount is too small! We just ask that you give what you can. All ages are welcome. Raffle tickets will be sold for $1 each. Seahawk prizes and much more! Beer and drink specials all day! Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in two categories - People's choice and Judge's choice. Winners also get their names on a plaque on the Chili Wall Of Fame! Rules for contestants and other pertinent info listed below: *WE HAVE 4 SPOTS LEFT AS OF THURSDAY THE 6TH IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ENTER A CHILI* To enter your chili please email us at kingstreetbar@msn.com or call us at King Street at 206 749-9890. There is a 15 person limit on entries. All entry requests need to be sent in this way and you will be listed first come, first served. We will notify the first 15 entrants as they come in. Entry fee is $15 this year and includes 10 $1 raffle tickets. You will need to bring 2 gallons of chili in an electric crock pot or food warmer that plugs in to keep your chili warm. (no pots, pans or bowls). If your crock pot does not hold 2 gallons, you can put the remaining chili in a large ziplock bag or tupperware container and we will refill your crock pot. All chili lovers will be given a ballot to vote for their favorite chilis. As in the years past, there will be two categories: People’s Choice and Judges Choice. There will be trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category and the names of all winners will be placed on the Chili Hall of Fame plaques in the bar.
